Day 1: Cape Town

Join us for an unforgettable adventure in Cape Town, where you will soar to the top of Table Mountain and marvel at its stunning views. You will ride a cable car that spins 360 degrees, giving you a panoramic glimpse of the city and the sea. You will explore the mountain’s rich biodiversity and learn about its fascinating history. After descending, you will relax at your cozy accommodation and then enjoy a delicious dinner in the vibrant city centre.

Day 2: Cape Town

After a fulfilling breakfast at our accommodation, we head out to explore the Cape peninsular. We drive along the rocky coast of the Atlantic Ocean passing through the breathtakingly beautiful towns of Clifton and Camps Bay. We stop in Hout Bay where we have the option to take a tour to a seal colony by boat before driving up one of the Capes most historic and magnificent roads, Chapmans Peak. A number of photo stops later we arrive in Simons Town to visit a colony of African penguins before making our way to the famous Cape of Good Hope National Park for a walk to the most South-Westerly point of the African continent.

Day 3: Cape Town

Today is a free day to spend doing optional activities such as township tours, city tours and going to the historical Robben Island to learn about Nelson Mandela and all the other freedom fighters’ such as Steve Biko, incarcerations during the apartheid regime.

Day 4: Stellenbosch

After a leisurely breakfast we check out and make our way through the Cape Winelands. We stop at several of Stellenbosch’s finest vineyards for cheese and wine tastings. The Cape winelands comprise of over 200 wine farms, many of which are historical farms with Cape Dutch manors and acres of beautiful gardens and vineyards where some of the worlds best wines have been produced since the mid-17 th century. We make our way to our accommodation and check in. After some relaxation and a chance to freshen up we make our way through the historical town of Stellenbosch for dinner.

Day 5: Hermanus

After breakfast we check out and make our way to the holiday town of Hermanus via Clarens drive, one of the Capes most beautiful scenic drives. We check in and have the day to spend at our own leisure. Optional activities such as horseback riding, kayaking, shark cage diving, exploring the beaches, browsing the shops and craft market and the ever-famous whale watching (in season) are on the cards for today. Hermanus is renowned as one of the world’s best whale watching destinations. The calmer and warmer waters of the Indian ocean provide the perfect conditions for these Southern Right whales to begin and complete their reproduction cycles. We head back to our accommodation to
freshen up before dinner.

Days 6,7,8: Botlierskop Private Game Reserve

This morning we have an incredibly scenic drive after breakfast as we head to our first game reserve, Botlierskop. Over the next few days, we enjoy being in the bush with fantastic wildlife sightings and gorgeous African sunsets. Our itinerary here will be quite flexible, included activities are: 2 x open safari vehicle game drives, a horseback safari, a guided game walk, a picnic for two with selected wine, at a private picnic spot on the reserve and a 1-hour spa treatment with a snack platter to relax and unwind.

Day 9: Buffelsdrift Game Reserve

After breakfast, we make our way over Robinson Pass and into the ‘Klein Karoo’. Our first stop will be at the Cango Caves to explore yet another of the worlds’ 7 natural wonders. After our tour we head directly to our accommodation for lunch and the elephant experience. We meet our orphaned elephants up close and personally.

We check into our luxury safari tents and freshen up before our afternoon game drive.

Day 10: House Martin Guest House

After breakfast, we enjoy the view over the waterhole with hippos sunbathing and a variety of wildlife coming down for a drink. We later experience a guided walk on the reserve with their cheetah leading the way. Later in the afternoon, we take a short drive to the small town of De Rust, where we join Jan and Theresa at House Martin for a traditional braai around the pool as we enjoy the sunset and Karoo night sky.

Day 11: Tsitsikamma

After a delicious breakfast, we check out and head back don to the coast via scenic Outeniqua Pass. We’ll pass the seaside town of Wilderness before continuing our drive through the picturesque Garden Route, with stops in the towns of Knysna and Plettenberg Bay for lunch. After checking in at Tsitsikamma National Park, we take a short 2-hour walk down to the suspension bridge.

Day 12: Tsitsikamma

En-suite, B&B

We have breakfast before taking a quick walk to the beach and meet our guide. We kayak across the ocean and up the Storms River mouth and gorge, through pools and caves. We make a quick switch onto a Lilo in order to access otherwise inaccessible areas of this majestic park. After lunch we have free time to laze about on the beach or hike any of the 5 trails laid out in this beautiful park. We have dinner out at the restaurant before retiring for the night.

Day 13: Schotia Game Reserve

After a leisurely breakfast, we make our way towards Port Elizabeth stopping for lunch at a local farmstall that specializes in Warthog and springbok pie. After lunch, we check in at Schotia Private game reserve and begin our next adventure in the wild. Up close and personal sightings with all the wildlife, a buffet style dinner in the lapa around a bonfire with lions roaring in the background is what to expect. After dinner, we set out on an evening game drive in search of our nocturnal wildlife such as hyena, aardvark and perhaps a lion out on the hunt. We settle into out safari tents and enjoy a nights sleep out in the bush.

Day 14: Flight

After breakfast, we transfer to Port Elizabeth to catch our flight to Johannesburg.
